I like these tips you give for young people pursuing their dreams. But I think one of the biggest problems with this is, that in most part all of these places to start off are unpaid internships, and that’s mostly what throws people off…

My question is which are the useful certificates i should get from NISM or NCFM to become a Fund Manager or Investment Advisor???

I am pursuing my management course.

      Hi Krishna,

Certifications won’t help you much. Companies are looking for solid practical skills. I suggest you to go for skill enhancement programs – Classroom.

            Hi,
Are there any of these skill enhancement programs in Mumbai?
I am studying for ACCA but the point is getting an internship is soo difficult people hardly know what ACCA is in India and i get disheartened every time when the recruiter questions me.

Can you please guide me with how to I tackle this situation and also what skill enhancing programs can I enroll my self in.

            Hi Sadaf,

Yes, there can be skill enhancement programs in Mumbai. I’m not aware of them though.

About internship, present yourself as an accounting professional and how can you add value to the organization. Suggest 2-3 topics to the organization for your internship project.
